Wednesday Events

The Wednesday is designated as a rest day, but many golfers are restless and keen for new experiences. The Club has been able to secure funds that allow us to promote the regional attractions and the week of golf. We trust the following options will achieve the above and be attractive to the tournament participants.

Option 1.
The obvious is have a rest day, shop in town, enjoy a coffee and prepare yourself for the championship.

Option 2.
The value add to Option 1 is to participate in the two free chipping clinics organised by the Tenterfield Golf Club. Sam Eaves, the Club visiting professional, from Warwick, will conduct the clinics. (Note: Sam was placed 14th in the 2020 New Zealand Open and had a hole in one).

Unfortunately, to ensure individual attention and quality results we have limited the number of clinics to two (2) with a maximum of five (5) participants in each clinic.
Because the numbers are limited you will need to register your desire to participate in the clinics at the Monday welcome event. We will hold a ballot that evening and those securing a spot will be announced along with a reserve for each clinic.

Option 3.
Those who wish to take a relaxed attitude may choose this option. A tour of the regional wineries including a three-course lunch. The standard cost of this tour is $80 per person. The Club will subsidize the tour to the extent that the individual cost will be $25/person, an absolute bargain. The maximum number of seats on the bus is 57.

If you wish to participate in this event indicate such on the nomination sheet and include the payment in your tournament fees. If you include this event in your nomination sheet you must include payment with your tournament fees on or before the closing date, 19/4/2021.

Option 4.
The Veterans and Ladies Committee have combined to hold a Medley two-person Ambrose. Nominate and pay on the day, shotgun start at 10.30am, cost $20 per person and buggies will be available at $17.50/ride.
