2024 October Week of Golf
The Tenterfield Golf Club will host its 2024 Veterans week of golf from the 14th of October to 18th October.
An overview of the program:
- Sunday: 13th October Registration/Happy Hour with complementary snacks.
- Monday: 14th October Single Stableford for Ladies and Men.
- Tuesday: 15th October 1. 1st round of the 36 Hole 4BBB Mixed Stableford.2. Medley Stableford for those without partners
- Wednesday: 16th October1. Rest day.2. Single Stableford organised by club.
- Thursday: 17th October 1. 2nd round of the 36 Hole 4BBB Mixed Stableford.2. Medley Stableford for those without partners.
- Friday: 18th October 1. Single Stableford for Ladies and Men.2. Presentation Dinner.
- NSWVGA shield event Single stableford two rounds Tuesday and Thursday
The individual stableford scores for Tuesday andThursday will determine the male and female winners.

General guidelines from the Tenterfield Veterans Committee
Entries:
Nomination forms can be downloaded from the Club websitewww.tenterfieldgolfclub.com.au
The field will be limited to 168 players each day.
Entries will close on 30/09/2024.A preliminary draw will be available on the club websiteon the 07/10/2024.
Eligibility:
This event is run under the auspices of the NSWVGA therefor all entrants must be afinancial member of NSW Veterans Golfers Association and hold a GA handicap.Tenterfield Veterans Association will arrange Interstate players membership to NSWVGA ifthey are a member of a registered golf club and have a GA handicap. NSWVGA membershipcosts are $5 and can be paid at registration. All players participating must be 55 years ofage or over at the commencement of this event.
Handicaps:
The maximum handicap for men is 36 and ladies 45.A player is entitled to play off his/her correct, adjusted handicap each day of a daily event.All scores will be forwarded to Golf Link after each round for the necessary adjustment, notonly for downward adjustment. All players play off their adjusted handicap each day for 36or 54 hole events as well as daily events.Note: From 2024 the practice of freezing handicaps for 36/54-hole events is not a NSWVGApolicy.
Divisions:
The field will be divided into divisions where appropriate for the awarding of prizes. TheTournament Director will decide the GA handicap limits for each division.A player may play in a different division in each event depending on the daily handicapadjustments by Golf Link.
Rules:
The ‘Terms of the Competition’ will be displayed in the Clubhouse and will be available onrequest. The local rules will also be displayed in the Clubhouse.
Prizes:
All prizes for the events will be provided by the Tenterfield Veteran’s Association except forthe NSWVGA Shield event for which the prize is donated by NSWVGA. As per NSWVGAconditions of play only one Major trophy can be won by any one player.Note : the winner of the 36 hole NSWVGA wins this and nothing else.
Start Times:
Start times will be from 7.30am to 1.00pm (EST)
Refunds: No refunds will be made after 07/10/2024 other than at the discretion of the TournamentDirector. Refunds arising from wet weather events and Covid-19 restrictions are defined inthe ‘Terms of the Competition”.
Golf Carts: Motorised Golf Carts will be available for $20.00/person/game. However, there is a limitednumber, and you will be required to share a cart.
Raffle Prizes: Unclaimed raffle prizes will be disposed of six weeks after the competition at the discretionof the Veteran Golfers Committee.
